Đovanni Falkone was a prominent Italian judge and prosecutor, renowned for his relentless fight against organized crime, particularly the Sicilian Mafia, known as Cosa Nostra. Born in Palermo, Falkone played a pivotal role in significant investigations that culminated in the Maxi Trial, which led to the conviction of over 300 mafia members.
