A Partnership for National Unity
A Partnership for National Unity (APNU) is a political coalition in Guyana, formed in 2011, primarily representing the interests of Afro-Guyanese communities. The coalition includes several parties and aims to promote national unity, economic development, and social justice. APNU has been a significant player in Guyanese politics, especially as an opposition force to the ruling People's Progressive Party. Ahead of the September 1 elections, APNU representatives demonstrated their readiness for the electoral process during a meeting with the Guyana Elections Commission, amidst concerns from smaller parties regarding the fairness of the electoral process.
