A T M Shamsul Huda was a prominent Bangladeshi civil servant and the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) who served from February 5, 2007, until 2012. He played a key role in overseeing the 9th National Parliament elections during the caretaker government led by Fakhruddin Ahmed. Born in 1942 in Faridpur, he joined the Bangladesh Civil Service after the country's independence and held various significant positions, including as the administrator of Bagerhat and secretary in the Ministry of Water Resources and the Ministry of Finance.
