Aaron Mendelsohn

Aaron Mendelsohn is a 74-year-old Californian art collector who has gained attention for allegedly purchasing a 2,000-year-old bronze Roman statue, known as the 'Naked Emperor,' knowing it was illegally obtained from Turkey. The statue, which was stolen from the ancient city of Boubon in the 1960s, was bought for $1.3 million in 2007. Following an investigation by the U.S. District Attorney's office, Mendelsohn now faces legal action for his involvement in the illicit art trade.
