Aaron Salem Boupendza

Aaron Salem Boupendza was a talented Gabonese footballer known for his exceptional skills as a forward. He began his career at the Centre de formation de Mounana and went on to play for several clubs across various leagues, including Ligue 1 in France, the Turkish Super Lig, Qatar Stars League, Major League Soccer in the USA, and the Chinese Super League. Boupendza was capped 35 times for the Gabon national team, scoring eight goals. Tragically, he passed away at the age of 28 in April 2023, leading to a national tribute on May 29, where he was posthumously awarded the title of Officer in the Gabonese Order of Merit.
