Abakarov

Abakarov was a controversial figure in the Dagestani diaspora, known for his anti-Semitic rhetoric and incitement of violence against Israeli interests. He gained notoriety for his role in a violent protest in October 2023, which escalated into a pogrom in Machachkala, resulting in numerous injuries and extensive property damage. Following political pressure in Russia, he sought refuge in Turkey, where he was later found murdered under suspicious circumstances, igniting debates on the safety of Russian opposition figures in exile.
