Abbas Ali Mwinyi
Abbas Ali Mwinyi was a prominent Tanzanian politician and the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) candidate for the Fuoni parliamentary constituency. He was the elder brother of Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi, the President of Zanzibar. Sadly, Abbas passed away on September 25, 2025, while receiving treatment at Lumumba Hospital, prompting the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to postpone the parliamentary elections in Fuoni due to his untimely death.
