Abdelouahed Lagnaoui is a professor of vertebrate paleontology at the École supérieure de l'éducation et de la formation (ESEF) in Berrechid, Morocco. He played a pivotal role in organizing the 18th International Symposium on Early and Lower Vertebrates, showcasing Morocco's rich paleontological heritage. His significant research includes the discovery of an endemic primitive shark, Maghriboselach Mohamezani, dating back over 380 million years, which helped secure Morocco's recognition as a global center for the study of primitive vertebrates.
