Abdelwahid Nour

Abdelwahid Nour is a Sudanese political leader and the head of the Sudan Liberation Movement/Army (SLM), a rebel group active in the Darfur region. He has been a prominent figure in the fight against the Sudanese government, advocating for the rights and welfare of marginalized communities in Darfur. His group has recently been in the news due to the devastating landslide that struck a village in the Marra Mountains, resulting in over 1,000 deaths, which Nour described as a humanitarian catastrophe exacerbated by the ongoing civil war in Sudan.
