Abdiwahab, a twelve-year-old boy, recently made headlines as he escaped the besieged city of el-Fasher in Sudan, recounting his harrowing experiences of violence and separation from his family amid the ongoing civil war. After being assaulted and accused of espionage by paramilitary forces, he undertook a perilous journey on foot to reach the relative safety of Tawila, where he arrived alone, traumatized, and searching for his missing family members.
