Abdourahmane Tchiani
Brig. Gen. Abdourahmane Tchiani is the Head of State of Niger Republic, having come to power following a military coup in July 2023. He has been at the center of diplomatic tensions between Niger and Nigeria, accusing the latter of colluding with foreign powers to destabilize his country. Despite these tensions, Tchiani's government has sought assistance from Nigeria during a critical fuel shortage crisis.
