Abdul Gapar Abu Bakar

Datuk Dr Abdul Gapar Abu Bakar is the Deputy Director-General (Operations) of the National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA) in Malaysia. He recently gained recognition for leading the Malaysian Special Search and Rescue Team (SMART) in a humanitarian mission to Myanmar, where they successfully rescued a 47-year-old man trapped for 72 hours under rubble after an earthquake.
