Abdul Qohhar

Abdul Qohhar is the Coordinator of Public Communication at the Indonesian Nuclear Energy Regulatory Agency (Bapeten). Recently, he was in the news for addressing the contamination of the radioactive substance cesium-137 (Cs-137) found in Indonesian clove exports, responding to findings reported by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Qohhar has been involved in field investigations to assess the levels of radioactivity and ensure the safety of food products, emphasizing that the detected levels were within background exposure ranges.
