Abdulaziz ibn Abdurrahman Al Saud, also known as Ibn Saud, was the founder and first king of Saudi Arabia, reigning from 1932 until his death in 1953. He is credited with unifying the various tribes and regions of the Arabian Peninsula into the modern nation-state of Saudi Arabia.
