Abdulkader Awama, born in 1983 in Aleppo, Syria, is a former refugee and a passionate football coach who has become a symbol of resilience and hope in Sweden. After fleeing the civil war in Syria, he faced numerous hardships, including living in a refugee camp where he often found solace in nature while grappling with the loss of his family. Despite skepticism from those around him, Abdulkader pursued his dream of becoming a football coach, driven by the desire to make his family proud. His determination caught the attention of Swedish football legend Jonas Thern, who became a mentor to him. Abdulkader's journey from refugee to an established figure in Swedish football, where he now coaches at IFK Värnamo, underscores his belief that dreams can be achieved with hard work and perseverance.
