
Abeid Karume
Abeid Karume was a Tanzanian revolutionary leader and the first president of Zanzibar following the 1964 Zanzibar Revolution. He collaborated with Julius Nyerere in the unification of Tanganyika and Zanzibar, and his leadership was pivotal in establishing a new political landscape in post-colonial Tanzania.
