Abel Ayala Flores

Abel Ayala Flores is the president of the Unión Ganadera Regional de Coahuila (UGRC), representing cattle ranchers in the region. He has recently been in the news due to the severe economic impact on the cattle industry in Coahuila, resulting from the closure of the U.S. border for livestock exports due to the detection of the barren worm pest. Ayala has indicated that the state has suffered losses of approximately 22 million dollars due to this situation, having been unable to export cattle for six months, and he remains hopeful for a reopening of the border under sanitary conditions.
