Abel Beker Ábrego

Abel Beker Ábrego is a former Panamanian politician and union leader, known for his role as a representative of the banana workers from 1990 to 2002 and as a deputy for the Changuinola district from 2014 to 2019. Recently, he was in the news due to the confirmation of his conviction by the Supreme Court for theft related to the mismanagement of funds from the Sindicato de Trabajadores del Banano y Empresas Afines (Sitraibana), resulting in a 72-month prison sentence.
