
Abraham Azulay
Sargento Abraham Azulay, a 25-year-old heavy machinery operator in the Israeli army, was killed during an attempted kidnapping by Palestinian militants in southern Gaza. Originally from the settlement of Yitzhar in the West Bank, Azulay had recently married three months prior to his death. His service included a total of 201 days after a previous arrest for desertion, during which he was later posthumously reinstated to the rank of sergeant. His death is part of the ongoing conflict in the region, which has resulted in significant casualties among Israeli soldiers.
