Abu Mohammed al Adnani was a senior spokesman for the Islamic State (ISIS) and a key strategist in promoting the group's propaganda and operational directives. He was killed in a U.S. airstrike in 2016, but his influence on lone-wolf attacks and decentralized jihadism continues to be felt.
