Abu Said Al-Baji was a Tunisian Sufi mystic who lived in the late 12th century and is known for founding a spiritual retreat, or ribat, in what is now the picturesque town of Sidi Bou Said. His teachings and the center he established attracted followers and helped to create a lasting legacy of Sufi spirituality in Tunisia.
