Adamary Garcia

Adamary Garcia is a Chilean-American woman whose life has been marked by the trauma of forced adoption. After being taken from her birth mother during the military regime of Augusto Pinochet in Chile, she grew up in the United States, unaware of her origins until she began to search for her biological family. In a poignant reunion in Santiago, she embraced her birth mother, Edita Bizama, for the first time at the age of 41, marking a significant moment in her journey of reconnection with her roots.
