Adolf Uunona
Adolf Uunona is a Namibian politician and member of the South West Africa People's Organization (SWAPO), who has represented the Ompundja constituency in the Oshana region since 2004. Recently re-elected for the fifth time, Uunona has faced challenges related to his name, which he shares with the infamous Nazi leader Adolf Hitler. To distance himself from this association, he has announced plans to drop 'Hitler' from his name and be known simply as Adolf Uunona. He has emphasized that he has no connection to the ideologies associated with Adolf Hitler, attributing his name to a common Germanic heritage in Namibia, a country that was a German colony from 1884 to 1915.
