Adolfo Álvarez is the president of the Community Development Association (ADESCO) of Caserío La Barranca and has been in the news for receiving agricultural support in the form of vegetable seeds for local farmers, aimed at improving food security in his indigenous community in Santo Domingo de Guzmán, Sonsonate.
