Adolfo Nicolás

Adolfo Nicolás was a Spanish Jesuit priest who served as the 30th Superior General of the Society of Jesus from 2008 until 2016. Known for his emphasis on the importance of discernment and spiritual depth, he led the Jesuits through a time of renewal and adaptation to contemporary challenges. Nicolás was a significant figure in the Catholic Church, particularly noted for his commitment to education, social justice, and interfaith dialogue. He passed away in 2020.
