Afetmat Mint Maki

Afetmat Mint Maki is the president of the Union of Mauritanian Women Entrepreneurs and Traders, an organization that supports over 1,200 women engaged in trade, services, and entrepreneurship. She advocates for women's rights and their integration into the economic cycle, aligning her efforts with national policies aimed at enhancing women's roles in economic and social development. Recently, she was in the news for organizing a Ramadan exhibition to promote affordable essential goods while boosting the participation of women in the economy.
