Afreximbank

Afreximbank, formally known as the African Export-Import Bank, is a multilateral development bank established in 1993 to facilitate and promote intra- and extra-African trade. The bank provides financial solutions to support trade and investment across the continent, aiming to enhance the African economy's integration into the global market. Recently, Afreximbank was in the news for its involvement in a $75 million currency swap deal that aims to bolster economic transformation in The Gambia by enhancing infrastructure and addressing critical financing gaps in sectors such as small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and affordable housing.
