Agostino Tassi
Agostino Tassi was an Italian painter and a contemporary of Artemisia Gentileschi, known for his landscapes and architectural scenes. His involvement in Artemisia's life became notorious when he was accused of raping her, an event that led to a highly publicized trial in 1611. Although he was ultimately convicted, the consequences were minimal, as he was exiled rather than facing severe punishment.
