Agustín Grijalva

Agustín Grijalva is an environmental lawyer representing the collective YASunidos, which advocates for the protection of the Yasuní ITT region in the Ecuadorian Amazon. He has been in the news for filing a lawsuit against the government of Daniel Noboa for allegedly failing to comply with a constitutional ruling to halt oil extraction activities in the area, despite a popular referendum in favor of keeping the oil underground.
