Ahmad Zarkoni

Ahmad Zarkoni, 50, is a lunar observer at the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) in Malang, Indonesia. He has been associated with BMKG since 1999 and joined the lunar observation team at the Malang Geophysical Station in 2007. His role involves monitoring the crescent moon (hilal) to determine the beginning of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.
