Ahmed Douma

Ahmed Douma is an Egyptian activist and poet known for his involvement in the 2011 Tahrir Square protests. He was imprisoned for over ten years, during which he faced harsh conditions and solitary confinement. Recently released in 2023, Douma has become a vocal supporter of fellow activist Alaa Abd el-Fattah, emphasizing the psychological and physical toll of imprisonment on political dissidents in Egypt.
