Ahmed Zergui, born Hammam Mohamed in 1948 in Sidi Bel Abbès, Algeria, was a pioneering artist in the genre of rai music, known for introducing electric guitars and innovative sounds during the genre's evolution. His career was tragically cut short in 1983 due to a car accident, but he left behind a rich discography that influenced many, including renowned artists like Cheb Khaled.
