Aidos Kospayev

Aidos Kospayev is a Kazakhstani national who was sentenced to 12 years in prison for his involvement in an organized crime group (OCG) that engaged in various illegal activities, including raiding, fraud, and money laundering. He is the brother of Eldos Kospayev, the alleged leader of the OCG. In recent news, Aidos attempted to contest a court ruling regarding the ownership of the Nikolsky Market, a landmark property in Almaty, which had been the subject of a lengthy legal dispute. Despite his efforts to appeal from prison, the court upheld that the Almaty Technology University retained rightful ownership of the land, rendering subsequent sales invalid.
