Aimar Alaver

Aimar Alaver is a former Estonian police officer who has recently been in the news due to a legal case involving allegations of fraud. He, alongside Eerik Heldna and Elmar Vaher, is accused by the Estonian State Prosecutor's Office of having misled the Social Insurance Board into believing that Alaver had completed 25 years of service as a police officer, thereby wrongly receiving a pension. Despite initial accusations, both the Harju County Court and the Circuit Court upheld a decision to acquit him and his co-defendants, leading the prosecution to appeal the ruling.
