
Aina Karele
Aina Karele, born in 1942, has dedicated over 60 years to the Liepāja Theatre, which has been her sole workplace. After graduating from the Cultural Workers' Technical School in 1961, she pursued higher education at the Theatre, Music, and Cinema Institute in St. Petersburg. Karele is renowned for her versatility, embodying a wide range of female characters from delicate princesses to strong-willed queens. Her career has been significantly shaped by director Oļģerts Kroder, with whom she collaborated on numerous impactful productions. Karele's portrayal of characters reflects both grace and strength, making her a beloved figure in Latvian theatre. In recognition of her contributions to stage arts, she was inducted into the Theatre Golden Fund in 2022.
