Ainars Pūpols

Ainars Pūpols is a celebrated poet, composer, and dedicated blues musician from Latvia, with over fifty years of experience in the genre. He has released three blues albums—two in English and one in Latvian—and has been involved with the BILDES festival since its inception, performing in various ensembles. A passionate advocate for blues music, he views the BILDES concert as a unique celebration, akin to a small blues festival in Latvia, where he connects with fellow musicians and shares his artistic expression through both poetry and guitar improvisations.
