Ainhoa Izaga Ibieta was a Paraguayan woman who traveled to Spain in 2013. Tragically, her body was discovered in a shed in Girona five years later, leading to a lengthy investigation to identify her. Her case became significant as part of Interpol's campaign to identify deceased women across Europe. In 2023, she was finally identified through fingerprint comparisons, marking the first successful transcontinental identification in this initiative.
