Aisha Niyonkuru

Aisha Niyonkuru is the director of the Lycée Gisenyi, an all-girls boarding school located in the Ntahangwa commune of Bujumbura. Under her leadership, the school has successfully maintained a well-functioning environment without major challenges, ensuring that students have access to necessary resources such as beds, mattresses, food, and other equipment. This year, the school accommodates 300 students, down from 365 the previous year, as it only accepts students referred by the orientation commission who qualify for government subsidies.
