Akem Akuot is a 10-year-old girl from South Sudan who cares for her malnourished younger brother, Garang. She brings him to a nutrition center weekly to receive vital food supplements while navigating the challenges of hunger and limited resources in their community. Despite having to quit school to support her family, Akem dreams of becoming a nutrition counselor to help other malnourished children in the future.
