Akhmad Sruji Bahtiar

Akhmad Sruji Bahtiar is the Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in East Java, Indonesia. He recently gained attention for his role in the announcement regarding the sighting of the hilal (new moon) to determine the start of Ramadan 1447 Hijriah, where he reported that the moon was not visible, leading to the confirmation of the beginning of the holy month on February 19, 2026.
