Akiel Gordon is a 26-year-old labourer from Portmore, Jamaica, who recently pleaded guilty to causing the death of his friend, Tyrese Barrington, in a motor vehicle crash in 2021. Following the incident, he was fined $450,000 or sentenced to 12 months in prison, and his driver's license was suspended for one year. The tragic accident occurred when Gordon, driving a Toyota Axio, overtook a line of traffic and collided with another vehicle, resulting in severe injuries to Barrington, who later died at the hospital.
