Akinyanju Omobolarinde, popularly known as Ashabi Simple, is a Nigerian actress and filmmaker renowned for her impactful storytelling through film. Born in a family of six in Idanre, Ondo State, and raised in Ogun State, she pursued a degree in Yoruba Language at Olabisi Onabanjo University. Ashabi discovered her passion for acting early, participating in drama and dance in secondary school. She began her film production journey in 2014 and has since created several meaningful films that address social issues. Despite facing challenges as a woman in the entertainment industry, she remains committed to her craft, balancing her personal life with her career while advocating for authenticity in her work.
