Akoto Nelson

Akoto Nelson, a 32-year-old man, was arrested for impersonating a police officer in order to gain free entry to a concert by Ghanaian musician Shatta Wale at the Black Star Square in Accra. He wore the uniform of a deceased Chief Inspector and was caught behaving suspiciously by security personnel. Nelson admitted to the impersonation, stating he could not afford the concert ticket and had obtained the uniform in 2022. He is a security guard and messenger at a private company and remains in police custody pending further legal action.
