Akwasi Amankwah Afrifa

Akwasi Amankwah Afrifa was a Ghanaian military officer and politician who played a key role in the National Liberation Council that overthrew Kwame Nkrumah. He received an honorary doctorate from the University of Ghana in 1970, although the timing of the award was controversial due to his political background.
