Alain Martineau is the founder of GMD (Groupe Mécanique Découpage), an automotive equipment manufacturer established in 1986. With a significant presence in the automotive sector, GMD's products are found in every French car and 30% of European automobiles. At 78 years old, Martineau has played a pivotal role in the company's operations, leading it through financial struggles and a search for a buyer. Recently, GMD announced its acquisition by the Chinese company DSBJ, marking a significant transition for the company and its 5,000 employees, including 1,800 in France.
