Alain Zurbriggen
Alain Zurbriggen is a celebrated former Swiss alpine ski racer, widely regarded as one of the sport's greats. Competing in the 1980s and early 1990s, he won Olympic gold in the downhill event at the 1988 Calgary Games, and became the overall World Cup champion in 1984. After retiring from competitive skiing, Zurbriggen contributed to the sport as the president of the Walliser Skiverband, promoting youth development and professional training programs in Swiss skiing.
