Alan Parte

Alan Parte is the head of lithium projects at Imerys, a mining company involved in a significant lithium mining initiative in Echassières, France. Recently, he announced that the estimated construction costs for the project have increased from one billion to 1.8 billion euros, partly due to inflation and investments aimed at minimizing ecological and social impacts. The project, known as Emili, aims to produce 34,000 tonnes of lithium hydroxide annually, sufficient to equip 700,000 electric vehicles each year, thereby contributing to France's strategy of reducing dependency on critical materials.
