Alassane Tchana Bami

Alassane Tchana Bami is a 55-year-old Cameroonian resident of Gabon who was placed under arrest on June 13, 2025, for insulting Gabon's president, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, and for being in the country without proper residency status. His comments, made in reaction to the forced eviction of residents in the Plaine-Orety area, sparked public outrage and led to his detention.
