Alberto Arenas

Alberto Arenas is a prominent Chilean economist and the Director of Social Development and Economic Affairs for Latin America and the Caribbean at the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (CEPAL). He has been instrumental in addressing social and economic challenges in the region, focusing on sustainable development and poverty alleviation. Recently, he was in the news for his discussions with Brazilian Minister Wellington Dias regarding regional cooperation and joint actions to combat hunger.
