Alberto Korda was a Cuban photographer best known for capturing the iconic image of Che Guevara, titled 'Guerrillero Heroico,' during a memorial event in 1960. His photograph, which was later cropped to focus solely on Guevara, became a symbol of revolution and leftist movements worldwide. Despite the photo's widespread use, Korda did not initially pursue copyright claims, allowing it to proliferate in various forms. It wasn't until years later when he sought legal action for its commercial use, ultimately donating the proceeds to Cuban children.
